The first flight of Royal Flight to Gambia was operated on October 1, 2018 Boeing 767 with 318 passengers on board, departed from Sheremetyevo at 01:20 and arrived at its destination the city of Banjul in 9 hours. The festive event was organized for the tourists at the airport of departure and arrival.
Opening of direct flights to this destination is a novelty not only for the airline, but also for the tourism sector as a whole. Gambia is an exotic and unexplored destination for most Russian travelers. This state of Africa can be a regular find for beach lovers on the beautiful coast of the Atlantic Ocean. However, Gambia can also boast a rich fauna, flora, national parks, colorful markets and more. "We hope that the new point on our flight map will provoke interest and will be a pleasant discovery for tourists,” noted Besiki Kvirkviya, Director General of Royal Flight.
The flight program is developed for the period up until the end of March 2019 with a frequency of 1 flight every 11 days. The flights will be operated on Boeing 767-300 wide-body aircraft having a layout of 330 seats.
